About us
Maritime Safety Solutions, LLC is a training company with headquarters in Orlando FL, USA.
MSS specializes in onboard safety assessment, training & coaching for super-yachts and commercial vessels. MSS services are intended to improve emergency procedures and drills, and to bring Crew’s skills far beyond the requirements of STCW mandatory courses in order to make sure they will respond quickly and efficiently to any emergency situation onboard their own vessel.
These goals are achieved by training programs specifically shaped around the vessel and crew's requirements. In addition to that, the knowledge and expertise MSS’ instructors acquired by working in different countries (USA, Spain, Italy, APAC, Middle East, UK and more) make MSS’ approach very distinctive.

Training Programs
Search & Rescue First Aid
Improve your Crew’s skills as required to perform efficient Search & Rescue actions and to manage medical incidents in compliance with best practices as well as the vessel’s procedures.
Custom
Complete your Crew’s skills with additional emergency techniques as required by specific operations of the ship, like hybrid and electric yachts, HAZMAT, helipad emergency management, etc.
Refresh
Refresh and consolidate your Crew’s skills as polished during previous coaching sessions, to confirm that they are fully ready to manage efficiently any onboard incident.
Training Programs phases
Contents and duration of training programs depend on vessel length and number of Crew. The onboard activities usually vary from 1 to 3 days and are normally managed by one or two instructors.

Preparation
Client provides Maritime Safety Solutions the vessel’s emergency documentation and safety plans. MSS team review all documentation and where possible briefly visit the vessel to prepare and submit the tailored Coaching Program schedule to the Client.
02 On-board activities
Maritime Safety Solutions instructor/s carry out knowledge checks, classroom and practical activities on-board. They then coordinate the Crew throughout additional drills developed on the outcomes of such activities. A comprehensive de-briefing concludes the on-board phase.
03 Reporting
Maritime Safety Solutions team review the information acquired on-board as well as the outcomes of the reviewed drills, and prepare a detailed report to be submitted to the Client.

Advanced Fire Fighting Training
for Fire Teams and Support Parties
Maritime Safety Solutions offers a range of Advanced Fire Fighting training courses designed for Fire Team members as well as for those that assist the Fire Team. Such courses are held in state-of-the-art, gas-fueled live fire training systems located in fire training facilities in Mallorca and across the globe, allowing the Client to pick up the most convenient location for the Crew. They include extensive, challenging, hands-on fire exercises in realistic environments.
These live fire training facilities allow repeatable and gradual training sessions with a very high level of safety at the touch of a button. Facilities replicate vessels layouts and provide impressive heat output, allowing MSS’ instructors to create very realistic scenarios perfectly fitting to the requirements of the vessel the Crew work for.

Maritime Safety Solutions team's experience rests on decades of service as Fire & Rescue professionals and instructors, onshore and offshore. Some of them still serve in the Fire Service. Their strongest asset is their long-time experience as Instructors and Coaches, which ensures effective and efficient delivery of the most up-to-date best practices in emergency preparedness.

How to get a proposal
Please submit a proposal request for the required Program/s and including a brief, overall description of the vessel as well as of the Crew, with details about any specific additional requirement.
